Our vision is to build a Heritage Centre in tribute to the brave souls who fought and died during the 1982 British liberation of the Falklands Islands. It will guide visitors through a comprehensive day-by-day timeline of the conflict, based on previously unexplored firsthand accounts by those who served on the front lines.
We are currently designing the centre and are committed to ensuring that every exhibit offers a nuanced portrayal of the courage and sacrifice that distinguishes this pivotal moment in history.
Additionally, the centre will incorporate a Wall of Remembrance dedicated to preserving the names of those who were lost and immortalising their heroism.
Several large-scale interactive models will also be included, to guide visitors through key battles and events.
Complementing this physical site, a digital resource bank will be established. It will both detail the course of the conflict and provide key insights from those directly affected by the war. Many of these firsthand testimonials have never been shared with the public before, and we are immensely grateful to those veterans who have given us the opportunity to craft a more personal and accurate picture of the war.
We envision for the centre to act as a wellbeing hub for surviving veterans and military families, as we support them in coming to terms with the past and help them to live in the present.
Through this accessible and empathetic approach to the history of the conflict, our project intends to create a recognised centre of excellence for commemorating the Falklands War. We also wish to serve the public by providing a greater insight into the war and enabling enhanced discussion of this critical moment in history.
With your support, we can make our vision a reality. Join us and help ensure the bravery and heroism of our veterans is never forgotten.
